The barrel is 7″ from closed chamber to muzzle, the way every barrel I make is measured, not 7″ from the front of the barrel extension to the muzzle. From the suppressor mounting point to the muzzle is exactly the same length as the mp5sd barrel or the cans would not be interchangeable. These are for MPX, MPX “K” and MPX PCC (all NFA rules apply) only, not compatible with copperhead or copperhead “K”.

Gen-2  MPX-type replacement Drop-in Barrel complete with gas block assembly for use with MP5SD style integral suppressors. The suppressors are available elsewhere from B&T, capital armory, or even used old swr, etc. I will only be offering the barrel. Please be conscience of the internal diameter of your hand guard and the OD ofsuppressor you plan to use as all hand guards may not have enough internal clearance. My factory hand guard and midwest worked fine with the swr can (1.575″ diameter), the isler hand guard will not.

For barrels purchased with adjustable plug;

As of the second week of August 2024 I have gone back to the old marking due to customer feedback;
0=zero gas
1=.040
2=.0469
3.052
4=.0525

This was suggested to me as less complicated and more intuitive so I have changed it back. Sorry for any inconvenience

Five adjustment positions;
0.) wide open, .0625

no marking= 0 gas
This adjusts with a simple turn of the plug. With either an allen wrench or adjustable/box wrench. When the number is at the 12:00 position that is the port size it is on

Due to variances in cans, platforms and ammunition it may be necessary to potentially modify the assembly for optimal results with your suppressor, ammunition choice and actual firearm by adding additional relief holes. The MPX requires further forward venting than a typical blow back or roller system due to the short gas piston system

Different setups require different amounts of gas depending on the actual gun itself, spring rate, suppressor generated back pressure and ammunition. This plug allows you the ability to “tune” your setup with the last amount of gas necessary to function, reducing gas feedback to the shooter. Your best method for tuning is to start on the largest port working backwards until the gun does not function then go up one click. You may need to adjust to more gas as the gun gets dirtier through the cycle.There is no one setting I can suggest for your setup with all the variables, it will require some testing by the end user.The plug insert is a consumable part and will erode over time as it is subjected to the hot chamber gasses which act as a type of plasma cutter. It will try to match the size of the port to the plug and erode the steel. this slows and still works as a funnel until eventually working all the way through. Erosion depends heavily on ammunition choice and suppression back pressure. There is not an alloy that I can machine that will prevent this

I want people to be happy with their purchase and get the proper barrel for their platform in the length that is best suited to their purpose.
